Members of the East Branch Delaware River Plein Air Painters, known as EBDRPAP, founded By Alix Travis and Oneida Hammond over 20 years ago, meet every Tuesday from late spring through early fall at different sites throughout Delaware and Ulster counties to paint and then share their work. As the weather turns too cold to paint outdoors, painters meet by Zoom and explore their themed works of the previous week.
Plein Air describes the act of painting out of doors. Most of the paintings in this exhibit are of landscapes from the surrounding area; they celebrate the beauty and majesty of the Catskills, its farms and the beauty of the surrounding mountains, grazing fields, farmhouses and barns typical of Delaware County farms.
The show features 25 works, in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pen and ink and pastel, by EBDRPAP artists Robert Axelrod, Deborah Brindis, Cena Pohl Crane, Christopher Criswell, Kathleen Green, Irina Grinevitskaya, Oneida Hammond, Ann F. Hoffman, Margaret Leveson, Myra Lobel, Patrice Lorenz, Ronald Macklin, Sheila McManus, Helene Manzo, Pippa Merrick, Michelle Sidrane, Jan Sosnowitz, and Sara Stone.
