About the exhibition

Aldo

Gonzalez

Aldo was born in 1962 in Las Villas, Cuba, and grew up in Union City, NJ. He currently splits his time between New York City and the Catskills. During high school, he attended a Vocational School for Photography and later the School of Visual Arts in New York City, majoring in Fine Art Photography. Faced with the challenges of the artist's life, Aldo joined the US Air Force and began a new career in Bioenvironmental Engineering, putting his passion for photography on hold. Forty years later, Aldo has rekindled his passion for cityscapes and street photography. New York City remains his favorite place to capture street scenes.
